No matter what the occupation is ,life experience is going to be a factor. Doctors are no different. This is an interesting article about a man who acquired a physical disability while in med school. He explains that it has given him an unique perspective. He's better able to understand patients needs and circumstances. He feels that if there were more doctors with disabilities the whole medical culture would be more accepting and accommodating.
