"Its my understanding that a person "receiving SSI or eligible for SSI" is QMB eligible.  A person in 1619b is still SSI eligible so they are QMB eligible and shouldn't be kicked out.   "

"Hey Stephanie,   There is no evidence of this in the resources that I have looked up. Also, I have seen people kicked off on MSP's in such a situation. Without a clear reference to use, how can I advocate for people in this case?"

QMB in the event of 1619(b) question

I am looking for an answer to a question and cannot seem to find concrete information in the Medicaid Eligibility Handbook, the POMS, SSA, Medicare, or any of my old training manuals. I am trying to determine if a person is still QMB eligible despite earnings, if they are in 1619(b) status. This would be someone who worked off of their SSI, retained SSDI, has Medicare but now if you do the net calculations for MSP's they are over the limits.
