I work for Employment Resources, Inc. in Madison (www.eri-wi.org) where I am involved in marketing our programs and services, website design, and other information and communications management. ERI provides employment and benefits counseling, assistive technology, and community outreach services to people with disabilities who are considering or pursuing employment. We also offer statewide consultation, training and technical assistance to employers, human service professionals, disability advocates, government agencies and the public regarding disability and employment issues.

U.S. Supreme Court Upholds Patient Assistance and Affordable Care Act

As many of you have probably heard, the United States Supreme Court upheld the Patient Assistance and Affordable Care Act as constitutional. This means that all of the current provisions will remain in effect. These include:

  • Allowing children to remain on their parent’s health insurance plan until they are 26;
